Fares Al-Qahtani, Head of Research at Sukuk Financial, said that Saudi Arabia's food industry has surpassed SAR 200 billion and has become a cornerstone for food security and economic diversification.

Speaking in an interview with Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Qahtani added that despite geopolitical and logistical challenges, no fundamental obstacles have been observed in the Kingdom's food sector. He noted that Saudi Arabia is home to more than 1,900 food factories, with food exports expected to reach SAR 15 billion in 2025, spanning over 125 countries.

He further stated that the food delivery market grew from SAR 13 billion in 2023 to nearly SAR 50 billion, with projections to reach SAR 50 billion by 2026. Promising opportunities in the sector include healthy and organic foods, ready-made and frozen meals, and aquaculture.

Al-Qahtani also emphasized that the Kingdom is not only ensuring food availability but is building a competitive food industry capable of exporting key products such as dairy, eggs, dates, and poultry.
