Saudi communications minister begins official US visit to boost tech leadership

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha began an official visit to the United States on Monday, aimed at advancing Saudi Arabia’s leadership in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

During the visit, Al-Swaha will take part in the G20 Digital Economy and Innovation Ministers’ Meeting, and attend the Frontier Leaders Forum, which brings together leading entrepreneurs and venture capitalists from Saudi Arabia and the US.

He is also scheduled to hold meetings with White House officials and senior executives from major technology and investment firms, with the goal of strengthening strategic partnerships in AI and advanced technologies, as well as attracting high-value investments.

The visit will also focus on developing Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure, reinforcing its position as a global hub for technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence.
