Buraidah International Dates Carnival sales top SAR 600 million in August

Sales at the Buraidah International Dates Carnival exceeded SAR 600 million in August, as tons of dates were traded amid exceptional interest from traders, investors, and consumers both within Saudi Arabia and abroad.

Statistics from the carnival's statistics committee showed total sales reached SAR 602,978,065, with more than 34,700 vehicles delivering 7,198,490 boxes of dates, weighing over 29,733 tons (29,733,149 kg) in total.

These rising figures highlight the economic significance and leadership of the carnival, which is the region’s leading hub for date production and export. The event also plays a key role in marketing Saudi dates, supporting food security, and boosting related industries.

Annual date production in Qassim

Qassim region produces over 587,000 tons of dates annually from more than 100 varieties, making it the top date-producing area in the Kingdom.

The carnival runs until October 14, continuing its support for the date sector and reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position in the global market.
