Al-Hajraf: GCC supports all Saudi measures to preserve its security

Speaking at the meeting of council's foreign ministers; Al-Hajraf stressed that "the security of the GCC is indivisible."

The GCC chief also said that any future negotiations with Iran must include ballistic missiles and its nuclear file.

"Iran continues to support the Houthi militia and destabilize the region," he said.

Al-Hajraf extended the council's support for efforts of the Yemeni government to end the crisis, according to the three references.

He also backed the UAE's claims to three islands under the Iranian occupation.

"Any actions carried out by Iran in the three UAE islands are null and void," Al-Hajraf said explaining that "theGCC rejects the Iranian occupation of the three UAE islands."

Al-Hajraf stressed "the importance of activating the joint military action mechanism for the GCC countries."

On the Palestinian issue, he said, "The GCC states committed toward the creation of a Palestinian state according to the 1967 borders."

Heading the meeting, the Bahraini foreign minister also condemned the "attempt by the Houthis to target civilians in Saudi Arabia."

Al-Zayani also praised the readiness of the Saudi air defense forces.

On the GCC unity, Al-Zayani also explained that "the decisions of the Al-Ula statement stressed the need for the unity of the GCC countries."

"AlUla's statement affirmed the commitment of the GCC to stand against any breaches of their security."

He stressed that "the difficult and delicate circumstances in the Middle East require a unified action," adding that "the decisions of the AlUla declaration have outlined important steps to enhance joint cooperation."
